Psychoanalysis

The therapeutic encounter fosters acceptance of what has, or has not happened to you in your life. It’s a transformative experience that allows you to know yourself profoundly and helps you move forward in your life. I offer psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. Both psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy emphasize identifying and working through your internal, unconscious conflicts and puzzling self-sabotaging behaviours. Using dreams, free association and our experience of the “here and now” of our relationship, we work together to address what prompted you to seek help.

Psychoanalysis is a unique treatment experience that is more intensive in that we meet four times per week. The additional time allows you and I to fully explore what drives your behaviour or “how you got here” and help you uncover and work through the  unconscious wishes, fears, patterns and dilemmas that keep you feeling stuck in your life.
